Nana's Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 3 cups of flour

  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup whole milk

Directions

  • Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl

  • Add sugar, beating together until light and fluffy

  • Break in eggs, beating in one at a time

  • Add baking powder to flour and sift

  • Mix lemon and vanilla extracts into whole milk

  • Slowly add sifted flour to butter and sugar mixture, alternating with the milk mixture

  • Beat between each addition until batter is mixed

  • Bake 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour until sides and top are golden brown
